Elvis was in my front yard!

So...what did I do this weekend? I worked the Winter Jam tour at UCF. I'll try and summarize what happened each day this weekend:

Friday: thought I could wake up late, but didn't. I could have, but for some reason didn't. I completed a list of chores that my lovely mother left me, and packed up for the trip. We left around 4:30 or so (with Emily, Anna, Chelsyi, mom, dad, and me all in the van) and made our way up to UCF. Once we arrived we ate at Ruby Tuesday's with Alyssa. That was such a fun experience. Let's just say that flavored lemonade can make some people loopy. After that, we went back to Matt's aparment, where Alyssa and Erica came over to hang out (which basically means eat Maggie Moo's and sing Hairspray songs). It was a fun night, though I didn't get much sleep at all.

Saturday: I woke up to Anna playing on Emily's laptop at 7:30...in the morning! We were all exhausted, but couldn't go back to sleep, so we spent the morning making cinnamon rolls (out of the can), spying on tour buses (shh...), and gettign ready for the long day ahead. We saw Rich out the window (the other left) and went down to meet him and to check out how the set-up was going. We walked through and got Starbucks, ran another round for Starbucks, and then worked setting up. Chelsyi and I set-up the glowy table and stocked the boxes, while Emily and Anna had the awesome job of setting up chairs. Lucky, lucky girls. Barlow Girl arrived late (because of a delayed plane), and we helped unload their trailer. We saw the girls (and Lauren's large suitcase) for a little bit and then started to load up "the Beast". It took 5 of us to get it in the building and out to the front and it was still extremely difficult. Beka was right when she said that it has a mind of its own. After helping out with them for a bit, we went over to our table (MercyMe) and set-up. They opened the doors at 4:30 (30 mins early) and we were so not ready. We survived however, and were in for the craziest merch table we have ever worked. There were three times during the event where I couldn't even see the end of the line for the table. Between dealing with a crazy woman, people who wanted to take advantage of the $5 CD deal and sore legs, it was a night I won't soon forget. It was fun, though! We didn't get to see the girls' show, however we did have good timing and saw them after we packed up. We talked for a few minutes, gave hugs, and went off to Subway for dinner. I hope that the sandwich master is doing well now. Then we went up, watched Mad TV (uhhuhhuhh), and went to bed.

Sunday: We woke up at 6, drove home, went to church, and then I came home and slept for 3 and 1/2 hours. Youth group was next, and then more sleep!

It was a lot of fun, and hopefully I will get some videos posted soon. I'm going to get ready to go to school tomorrow! Woohoo.

So I'm talking to Anna...and this is confusing

So a lot has happened since I last wrote a blog.

Christmas happened, and we had a lovely holiday. Family came over and we had chilli after church and then they came over again on Christmas and we ate more. Let's just leave Christmas at the fact that I ate a whole lot more than my share of Mema's mac-'n-cheese. Yes.

Then came New Years. Anna, Chelsyi, and I went to youth group for a few hours and we ate food, played games, and drank nasty grape juice. =). After that, we went over to Emo's house to celebrate some more! We are such party animals. haha. We hung out, played with fireworks, wathced other dumb people set their's, counted down to 2008, drank grape juice (again, but it was better this time), watched "Music and Lyrics", talked some more, and went to bed. It was a fun night..and we made history being a part of Anna's 1st sleepover! Yay us. Anna and Chel left really early in the morning (odd people), and Emily and I slept in until about 12:15. I won't talk about what else happened that day.

I was looking forward to a much better January, and by the looks of things it was going to be better than last month. But talk about another heartbreaking month...jeez. Some friends of mine (twin sisters) were in a car accident and one of them passed away. It was and is tough, but God has been faithful as he always is. Emily was right on in mentioning the incredible peace that entered the room as we prayed the afternoon of the tragic accident. Wow. I don't know that I've ever felt such a presence before.

On to some good news...we are working Winter Jam this weekend with Barlow Girl, Skillet, Mercy Me, Mandisa, PureNRG (haha), and maybe some other band. It shall be fun, even though we have little idea of what our responsibilites are. THEN, we get to work the Casting Crowns/Leeland show. We are so blessed. I'm so looking forward to all the fun things to come!

Oh, my mom got a new 2008 Honda Accord. It's pretty and I got to drive it to Riverdale. It was amazing.

I may come back and post photos, but as for now I have to go to my neighbors house to watch Maddox which I do every week at this time. He's fun, and we walk together so I can get some exercise.

Adios for now!
