Hillbilly United

Pictures from UCF this weekend!
1st- My future roommate Chelsyi and I
2nd- the Moms
3rd-The beautiful sunset!

wow...these next couple of weeks are going to be great!

Let's see:
This weekend is the youth lock in
November 9-10 Hillsong United Conference
November 16 Jubilation Jam

We are going to be so tired in December..it will be nuts

So..UCF won, Gators won, Bama beat Tennessee, FSU lost, etc..it was a pretty terrific weekend in football if I do say so myself

Plus, I was able to get my Comp homework done so that I don't have to worry about it tomorrow. Thanks goodness I finally didn't procrastinate. My keyboard is being weird, I need to finish my UCF application, and I need to do research for my paper in Comp, so I'm going to go...

*Oh! my title is from my weekend. My mom, Mrs. Anderson, Chelsey, Matt, and I were all sitting in the gym at UCF and had just finished talking about the Hillbilly Anderson family up in Tennessee. So...my mom decides she wants to talk about Hillsong United, but instead "Hillbilly United" came out of her mouth...doesn't sound really funny, but I about fell over*

Drumroll please.....

We have decided to have Jubilation Jam indoors. The more we looked at the sanctuary today, the more we realized that we can do it in there with not a whole lot of loss. As I've sat here with my feet propped on the desk listening to "Over My Head", I've begun to realize that maybe we were over our heads. Granted, we didn't know about people giving their money away towards the beginning of the year, however the outdoor deal may have been too much for this year. Honestly, I don't think we're losing that much moving it indoors, but it is still painful.

So anyways...our group of girls that we have Bible study with are looking for something new to do. I mean we will keep studying the Bible (lol), but we just finished our book and are looking for something that really fits with our group. Any suggestions? I'm going to go look for some in the church library after I finish writing this. And guess what...I'm talking to Emo again. lol

So..I've got to go...

And Emo, I'm not a bad influence...=)

I need to be doing homework

So..I'm talking to Emo on the phone when I should be talking to my paper on rhetorical fallisies. woohoo

So it's my mom's birthday and Irene's birthday. I bought my mommy pretty flowers..aren't I sweet? Not boasting or anything like that...lol

Today we got another $1000 check from a lovely couple for Jubilation Jam. That is extremely encouraing, however we did get some bad news. Apparently, the people I talked to to get permission to use the field for JJ thought I wanted it for parking. Therefore we may not be able to do it outside, but rather inside in our sanctuary. So..I'm going to make a list of pros and cons, and help me out with what option you think is best.

Pros...
over $3000 less
a lot less stress
weather doesn't matter
almost done fundraising

Cons...
only fits about 1/2 of people
sound may not be at the same quality (acoustics)

We really had dreams for this to be outside so that we could reach as many possible. However at this moment, it really feels to me that we should do this indoors and maybe leave the outdoor thing for next year. This is, after all, hopefully going to become an annual event, and we planned for this to be indoors to start with anyways. Tell me what you think!

Please be in prayer for my grandpa. His sister, Mary Ruth, passed away last night. He was very close to her and even though this was expected, he is still obviousely upset.

Thanks, guys!

You are faithful..you will ever be...lalalala

So right now, I'm kind of happy. =) We got a $1000 check from a lovely man today at church for Jubilation Jam. Cody came running out of the office to tell Chelsey and I, but I thought something had gone terribly wrong. God is so faithful! I know that if we do this for His glory, that He will be faithful and that things will work out. I just pray that I would not worry so much, and have more faith in the incredible things that God has planned for this.

Also, Pastor Benton took us out to El Morro today for lunch. I had the buffet of incredible Cuban food celebrating Ms. Pam's birthday. She is such so fun to work with, and we had a great time at lunch. Yummmyyy!

I'm going to bed now, but I though that I'd post this in honor of God's faithfulness, because he has really been teaching me how to trust lately. Keep praying for Jubilation Jam! It's coming together, and I just have a wonderful feeling that this will be a wonderful ministry to South West Florida! woohoo!

Sometimes my lack of a brain amazes me...

So today's been an eh kind of day. I haven't been feeling the greatest, so I really didn't want to go back to school for Comp 1. It wasn't all that bad though, because we had discussion for most of the class, so it was easy to stay awake.

We got some good news today, though. Over $1700 came in on Sunday for Jubilation Jam from church! Granted, that did include some sponsorship checks that we had already included, but that is still good news for the event! Woohoo! If anyone happens to live around the area and happens to read this, then call the church at 863-675-0656 to get some tickets. Plllleeaaseee come.

Also, pray for Anna's dad. He found out that he has a melanoma under his arm, and they are not sure if it is stage 2, or has spread, or anything. Melanoma is a very scary thing, so be sure to keep their family lifted up in prayer. Another prayer request would have to be my Aunt Shirley, because apparently my uncle took her to the hospital. AND, I just got one more. My brain. Miss Higgy just called to tell me that I missed another FBLA meeting. This is my 2nd that I've missed and guess what..I'm the president! My brain has just been gone for the last couple of weeks, with the stress of getting things together for Jubilation Jam. I feel horrible, but what can I say? Miss Higgy didn't send me the agenda stuff, so the meeting just slipped my mind. Not that it's her fault, because I should be responsible. However, it's always easier with reminders liek that. So pray that my chapter doesn't want to fire me already...lol

so yea...I'll post a picture of the old FBLA days just for fun.
