Elvis was in my front yard!

So...what did I do this weekend? I worked the Winter Jam tour at UCF. I'll try and summarize what happened each day this weekend:

Friday: thought I could wake up late, but didn't. I could have, but for some reason didn't. I completed a list of chores that my lovely mother left me, and packed up for the trip. We left around 4:30 or so (with Emily, Anna, Chelsyi, mom, dad, and me all in the van) and made our way up to UCF. Once we arrived we ate at Ruby Tuesday's with Alyssa. That was such a fun experience. Let's just say that flavored lemonade can make some people loopy. After that, we went back to Matt's aparment, where Alyssa and Erica came over to hang out (which basically means eat Maggie Moo's and sing Hairspray songs). It was a fun night, though I didn't get much sleep at all.

Saturday: I woke up to Anna playing on Emily's laptop at 7:30...in the morning! We were all exhausted, but couldn't go back to sleep, so we spent the morning making cinnamon rolls (out of the can), spying on tour buses (shh...), and gettign ready for the long day ahead. We saw Rich out the window (the other left) and went down to meet him and to check out how the set-up was going. We walked through and got Starbucks, ran another round for Starbucks, and then worked setting up. Chelsyi and I set-up the glowy table and stocked the boxes, while Emily and Anna had the awesome job of setting up chairs. Lucky, lucky girls. Barlow Girl arrived late (because of a delayed plane), and we helped unload their trailer. We saw the girls (and Lauren's large suitcase) for a little bit and then started to load up "the Beast". It took 5 of us to get it in the building and out to the front and it was still extremely difficult. Beka was right when she said that it has a mind of its own. After helping out with them for a bit, we went over to our table (MercyMe) and set-up. They opened the doors at 4:30 (30 mins early) and we were so not ready. We survived however, and were in for the craziest merch table we have ever worked. There were three times during the event where I couldn't even see the end of the line for the table. Between dealing with a crazy woman, people who wanted to take advantage of the $5 CD deal and sore legs, it was a night I won't soon forget. It was fun, though! We didn't get to see the girls' show, however we did have good timing and saw them after we packed up. We talked for a few minutes, gave hugs, and went off to Subway for dinner. I hope that the sandwich master is doing well now. Then we went up, watched Mad TV (uhhuhhuhh), and went to bed.

Sunday: We woke up at 6, drove home, went to church, and then I came home and slept for 3 and 1/2 hours. Youth group was next, and then more sleep!

It was a lot of fun, and hopefully I will get some videos posted soon. I'm going to get ready to go to school tomorrow! Woohoo.
